Lately, Branwen has been feeling ... agitated.[break]

Normally, she wouldn't even be awake at this time of the day, when the sun is shining so warmly and happily that it just invites to another day to sleep through until she can feel energised in the evening. But lately ... lately ... lately, things have not been the same. Thus, even as the sun is standing warmly on its peak, as she sees that her trainer is busy with some other matters, she just hops off and about. There must be something out there that she is missing ...![break]

when dandelion had decided to take a nap, she wasn't expecting to be woken up any time soon. not by her new trainer, and especially not by any rude pokemon.

she was content. the sun was shining, casting warm rays on her, and she had found the perfect spot. or she had until something hit her. the motion is enough to cause her to stir, and she blinks blearily at the stick laying by her side, where it had landed- and then at the culprit.

"why?" she had meant to growl it, but it comes out as more of a sleep-addled, pathetic whine. "i didn't even do anything to you."

Branwen, in all her white-hot fury over anything and nothing - especially something she just isn't aware of -, did not notice the shiny Eevee that just wanted to take a nap. In fact, it couldn't have been further from her mind to disturb someone else's nap, but ... of course, a perfectly bad day just had to get a lot worse, just like that. "Oh! Oh. Oh, sorry," she lets out after a moment of pause, looking suddenly a lot less angry than she was before, but there is still something in the way she is frowning that reveals how dissatisfaction seeps into every cell of her being, "I did not see you, please do nap on."[break]
[break]
But even as she says it, the Fomantis' mind seems quite elsewhere as she only stares at the pile of leaves that she now disrupted, the spot of sunny grass - and she sighs, long and loud.

maybe it's just dandelion's whining, but as soon as she speaks up, the fomantis at least has the decency to look apologetic- or at least dandelion thinks she does. it still doesn't make her not rude, but it's enough to lessen the chances of the eevee's potential temper tantrum if things hadn't gone the way she wanted.

regardless, she huffs out a sigh anyways before unfurling herself, still half-asleep from her nap and not entirely trusting that she'll avoid getting sticks kicked at her again. but the fomantis seems upset about something, and she's nothing if not the sort to want to help at heart. "it's fine. it hasn't been the worst way i've been waken up." it has been, but it's her attempt at comfort for now.

"what's got you so upset, anyway?" despite her tone at first, quick to soften, dandelion offers a welcoming wag of her tail- she's here to listen, at least, even if she can't offer any actual advice.

To be honest, Branwen is fully ready to fight - it's somewhat enscribed in her being, one could say, that she throws a good punch in case needed, even as she isn't fully feeling it in this moment. After all, it's not like she is mad at the Eevee, necessarily, not at all, but ... She sighs once more. "Really sorry about that again ... been on a pretty bad nap streak," she mutters, still feeling the need to kick lightly against a leaf nearby, barely lifting it from the ground this time.[break]

"I just feel - so very - at unease. Like, really not so great, it's - urgh. I can't nap!" the Fomantis stutters forth from the feelings that threaten to overtake the more she thinks about it, the more she actually puts words into this world. Life is just so infinitely unfair! What is even going on? Why does she even need to feel anything other than having a good nap?! (Unaware that 'napping' is no emotion. Probably.)

not being able to nap? the more dandelion thinks about it- which, admittedly, isn't much- the more it sounds like some sort of waking nightmare. the other pokemon's obvious discomfort with it doesn't help things, either.

when she moves to kick the leaf, though, for a second dandelion thinks she should probably move away, if only to not be the victim of more debris. this kick is weaker, though, and the leaf flutters for a second before settling, leaving dandelion to turn the full force of her concern back onto the fomantis.

"have you tried pecha berries? they always help me sleep." never mind the fact that they never seem to have the same effect on the rest of her trainer's pokemon. dandelion would rather think that they're the outlier, rather than it being her.

Branwen looks quite shocked - flabberghasted, even, at the shiny Eevee's proposal. It sounds ... so simple yet possibly effective, and definitely worth a try ... maybe? "Huh ... no I've not yet tried," she thusly remarks in turn with a shaking of her head. How did she not think of it herself? But this truly proves that perhaps, there is something not quite right with her mind right now, it's much more scatter-brained than usually.[break]

This will take an end - now. Looking at the other with a determined look, intense and fierce, she gestures for the Eevee to follow her, if she is so inclined, "come with me! I think I know just the place where to forage such delicious delights." She knows this route like no other, after all.

as soon as the words are out of her mouth, a part of dandelion expects to defend herself and how the berries help. she starts to speak, to explain her reasoning- and then gets a good look at the fomantis. her newfound companion seems like she's in disbelief, sure, but it seems more genuine surprise than skepticism.

it leaves the eevee a little unsure of what to say, herself. anything she had planned to say fizzles and dies in the back of her mind, and she closes her jaws at how the fomantis admits she hasn't tried it. "i'm sure that's your problem, then." she says, instead, with a confidence she should not have.

the fomantis, with this potential solution, seems just as determined to try it as dandelion is that it'll work. and maybe, both because someone believes her and there's the chance of getting extra berries, there's a hint of a skip in dandelion's step as she falls in line next to the other pokemon at her invitation, no questions asked.
